Bio
The drive to write had always been there for me since I can remember. Writing short stories and filling up scribblers, gradually honing
my over active imagination. It wasn't until I was ten years into a drumming career that spanned the continient that I had the kernel of
an original idea that would become the Need to Know. The book
is slated for publication April 2008, and the adapted screenplay won Harold Greenberg funding fall of 2007.
Next came a love of screenwriting when I researched and wrote a seventy page treatment entitled
Silent Parade, about the infamous 1919 Winnipeg General Strike. The project was pitched to CBC as a regional historic
mini-series, but lost out to a competing production. But the seed had been sewn. Writing would only be the first step as I quickly
graduated to directing my first short film Figment in 2005. Opportunities opened from the success of the film and I optioned
my first feature film A Shake in the Tree, a film that ultimately was not produced and I re-acquired the rights under my
production company New Venture Productions, which has produced the short films Flashes and Driving
Me Mad in 2007. Both films theatrically premiered Dec 2007 in Winnipeg to rave reviews and will be submitted to film festivals
in 2008.
